JD 322 trigger replacement

I need to replace 1 trigger on my 322. I have removed shielding, battery and tray, etc. It looks like I will need to remove the electric clutch and front motor mounts to get to the flywheel housing. Does this sound correct? Any other helpful ideas? Should I replace all 3 triggers while I am in there? 2 of them seem to work fine. #1 does not fire at all. Coil has been replaced and still no spark on #1. Any suggestions? Thank you

I have a 322, but THANKFULLY, I've never had to replace one of the triggers, but it sounds like you are on the right track.

I'm not sure how likely it is that a trigger has failed, no spark on one cylinder could also be a damaged wiring or connector issue, as well as an ignition box issue.

I know I would be looking at the signals from each of the 3 coils at the ignition box, to verify that one is missing, before pulling off the flywheel housing to replace a trigger.

I have a link to the shop manual, email me if that would be helpful.
