A couple weeks ago I cut down a large pin oak. Today I finished cleaning up and burning the huge amount of branches. I had two burn piles going. Thought about using old Bolens to "bulldoze" brush piles to the burn piles and it saved a lot of work. I should have stopped to take pictures of the piles being pushed but didn't. I almost scrapped the Bolens when the original engine started knocking but hung onto it when I got a new JD 275 to mow with. I use the same Suburau engine with it as with my woodsplitter. In the winter the Bolens pushes snow with a 6' board bolted to the homemade blade counterbalanced by the railroad iron in back. In spring it doesn't take much more than a half hour to pull the motor and put it on the splitter. I only hook up the throttle cable when it's on the Bolens.
