kohler ignition module

On kohler engines in particular my 12.5 hsp on my cub cadet 1320 there are two leads on the ignition module. One of course to the spark plug but what is the purpose of the second one? Does it lead to ground,12v,or normally open?
I'm guessing it leads to an enabling switch such as on the seat but that's just a guess. My schematic only shows leads as going to the engine but not their ultimate destination. One reason for asking I'd like to run the engine on a test stand. Thanks for any advice!

I would imagine it is used for a ground wire to stop engine?
How else would you stop the engine from running?

the other lead is a small wire, right?

If so, its the kill wire. You ground it to stop the module from making sparks. Normally its hooked into the engine harness back to the ignition switch so the switch can ground it.

cheif:

The Cub Cadet 1320 Lawn Tractor had the Kohler CV12.5S engine, if original.

There should be two wires coming from the engine. (1) A yellow wire used to kill the magneto, to shut the engine down. (2) A red wire from the charging system to recharge the battery.
