Narrow tractor

The distance between rows of corn that are planted by a mechanical corn seed planter are too narrow for any 3 or 4 wheel tractor to negotiate. Normally, weeding is done by a high crop tractor using very skinny rear tires and that tractor straddles two or more rows while the cultivator knocks down the weeds. But most farmers opt to chemically treat the soil to kill the weeds but not kill the corn plants.

You might find a single-wheel walk-behind tractor that is narrow enough but it will be an antique.

Thanks for response. I was looking for some thing that would travel with a trailer from one end of field to the other. Rather than driving all the way around a field and I really don't want a motorcycle or boonie bike.

John Deere H with one front wheel removed and rears set right will work till your corn gets too tall.

I have heard of several folks who would plant two rows at standard width and then leave a wide space between rows for a mower or garden tractor pulling a small trailer.

Basically transport me and any small stuff I could carry in a narrow trailer. My parents home stead is at the other end of the field. Like 1/4 mile by crow flight, (Through field) or 3/4 mile going around. So going down, (between) rows would be best, that way I could do it anytime of year. And I really don't want to go the motor cycle route.

If you have any control of the field, have the planter blocked on one row for that pass. Might have to mow it later.
Any vehicle that narrow and ridden on would have to ride you very low avoiding tip overs. As was suggested, a small walk behind with seat cart might work, even a modified rototiller with hitch or cart.
You may have to put up face shields, though, to keep corn leaves out of your face. IaLeo
