Case 60 mower deck

Hello everyone, I was wandering if anyone can tell me if a 60" case mower deck will fit and work under an all orange 224 case tractor that currently has a 42" deck. want to shorten next years mowing time.

The answer is a solid NO.

The 48 inch deck is the widest cut that a Lo Pro model can handle. In 1979, Case introduced the 1989 model year tractors and that was when the 60 inch deck went into production. That was also when Case added the new 18 HP Onan engine to create the 448 model. In order to accommodate the 60 inch deck, the 444, 446 and 448 models all came with 48 inch wheelbases instead of the former 46 inch wheelbase. All the Low Pro frames stayed with the 46 inch wheelbase. If you want the 60 inch deck, then you will have to buy a post 79 Case or Ingersoll 444, 446 or 448. With that deck, the 448 is the best choice because of the extra HP to wade through tall thick grass.
