My zero turn bad boy zt model 26 hp Briggs lost speed. I changed the Trans axle filters and new oil. Still does not go fast enough. What should I do next?

Since left and right transmissions are independent; is one lever faster than the other? The odds against both transmissions failing at the same time are pretty high. Can I assume that the speed problem was BEFORE you changed the filters and oil? If both are the same I would look at belt slippage or engine governor or fuel restriction.

Thanks. Both handles are very close. You can actually drive it with both pushed all the way forward then one needs to be held back just a little. I have a new belt coming Saturday. It high idles at 3450 rpms also. I do have throttle Linkage issues though. I need it to idle by the lever. How do I adjust governor and Linkage on a 26 hp Intek Briggs?

Beats me. I never looked at mine. Let us know what you found.

The ZT owners manuals shows how to adjust the pump belt tension. Just google Bad Boy manuals. Check the throttle cable and make sure it has not slipped in the clamp on the engine. Had this problem with my Bad Boy.
