I needed power on a job site so I drug out my old Lincoln weldin power(11 h.p. Brigs). It has set for three or four months in the garage. No start, and I found mice tracks in the fins. After rewiring the ground/kill wires it was still dead. I sure am glad I keep a points file around here, reset them and it fired right up. I have never tried the welder, but the 115V is sure handy. :>)

How many Kw does it put out? Generators have gotten so low in price that many many people I know have FINALLY bought a unit. Just one storm and they have their chests puffed out saying how smart they were to have bought one. Have another neighbor who just refuses to buy one but will run and extension cord across the street to get power for their fridge. What a bozzo! I have five generators so I am all set up. Have three unis that are 120/240 volt with two of them at 3000 watt and the other is an 8000 watt unit. Nice to have a big bad welder but a 120/ 240 will power your whole house with no sweat is you size it correctly and most all of them are around $100.oo per 1000 watts and cheaper. Buy a quality one and you will not regret it. Lots of advice on this site so just ask.

4500 watt Lincoln Weldanpower. 150amp AC welder and gen set. I traded a nice buzz box for it, and added a electric starter and cart to it.

That's a nice power area if you take her easy and run only what you need. Neighbor has a 10K kohler standby that runs on Natural gas. Last outage we had she ran for 49 hours straight. Purred right along.
