Case 130 steering box rebuild

I'm looking to pull 130 out of moth ball soon. The steering box is badly worn and I'd like to rebuild it. I've been told that the parts are common and can be sorced through a John Deer dealer. Is this true and what would I need?

Thanks in advance,

Yes that is true. Several manufacturers of garden tractors used Ross steering boxes. It is best if you dismantle the one you have and see what is worn out. You can then go to your local Deere dealer and order in the parts. It is unlikely that he will have them sitting on his shelf since 50 years have gone by since these steering boxes were popular.

Got ya. I had planed on taking it apart to see how bad it is. Another question. I'm going to have to cut the steering wheel off of the shaft. You wouldn't happen to know where I could get a hold of one?
