I'm building a cub 1806 and having trouble finding a horizontal shaft magnum,I can find lots of vertical shaft models are the blocks the same or completely different animals thanks for any info

Mr Hillbilly:

The correct Crankshaft for your M-18 is [b:c9cc0e18af]52-014-66S[/b:c9cc0e18af] which is NLA from Kohler. You can search the internet for a NOS or a good used on.

If the part number above is correct it is available from kohler $ 790.00

If you cant find it locally contact me and I'll order it for you, if you have your model and spec we can corfirm the part number will fit your particular engine

Unless you are really stuck on having a Kohler magnum in that tractor, a Predator twin engine would be something to consider. Honda clone, and dirt cheap.

It's a stock class pulling tractor and our club requires the correct engine in the tractor and I don't have any motor to start with was looking to buy one but hard to find a cub motor lots from craftsman with vertical shafts

Where are you located Mr. Hillbilly? I can probably find you one. What do you want to spend? b m c f -at- m y a c t v -dot- n e t

Deere used those too and with terrible results ! Most got tossed in the junk pile and an Onan or other replacement went in.
