case ih tractors

I've seen a couple of these for sale recently & I'm looking for opinions on them. the tractors ive seen are models 235 & 245.

The 235 and 245 were available from 1986 to 1990. They have 18 HP and 21 HP 3 cylinder diesel engines respectively. While they are badged as CASE/IH, they are actually Mitsubishi tractors. But when you are into the sub-Compact Utility and Compact Utility tractors, this sort of re-badging is the norm. Cub Cadet, John Deere, Ford, Massey and just about every other North American major tractor company chose to go offshore and partner with well-known tractor manufacturers so that they could compete in this segment of the market.

Whether it is Yanmar, Mitsubishi, Shibauru or Mahindra, the product is normally excellent. In this instance, you have CASE/IH standing behind the product and supporting it. I personally would not be concerned about buying any one of those brands from a quality standpoint. However, parts prices for some brands have been noted as being highly excessive.
