I have a Cub Cadet mower with a Briggs 7.75 hp engine. It has not run in 5 years. It will start and great for a few seconds and cut out. New Plug, rinsed out gas tank, cleaned carb and brass gizmo that holds the bowl on. Also checked spark and compression. When one guy pull starts it and I look in the carb(with air filter off) the venturi puts out a nice mist and stops a few seconds later. New seat and
float valve put in also. Will not run on starting fluid mist once carb cuts out of gas. It is a Model 100000 series. Does anyone have any more ideas? There is one welch plug in it that I did not remove. Would like to keep everything Briggs, but I am tempted to buy another Oregon carburetor.
