E3 sparkplugs

What is your opinion of the E3 sparkplugs. I see then advertised on tv and the big box stores carry them but was wondering what the old pros say about them.

Back when they made their last big sales pitch the OReilly store sold a bunch of them with a money back guarantee, the manger said every set he sold came back.

I have tried multi-electrode plugs on cars before with no noticeable improvement. If an engine is not using excessive amounts of oil, which results in fouled plugs, a good standard plug should be good enough. (Actually, a multi-electrode plug will foul too,) I generally use what the engine manufacturer recommends, or whatever came in the engine. Most small engine manufacturers recommend changing the spark plug at regular intervals anyway.

On my Twin V Briggs engines I use NGK copper core plugs. Work very nicely. They also have Iridium plugs. Like $7.oo each but the engine SURE likes them. Much smoother! If you have Honda engines of 4-6hp size you want BPR4Es plugs. The bigger like 8hp and up you want BPR6Es plugs. Honda engine on my big Emglo compressor starts as smooth as silk every time. These work great in the Briggs twin engines. Sorry I downloaded a pic of my CUB going to the farm fair. Can't un it.

DON'T walk away from them! RUN!!!! RUN FAST!!!!

I work in the small engine field and rarely find a working example in the stuff that comes in the shop.

Toss them in the same box with the magic oils, magic oil filters, and motor tune up in a bottle and give it all to somebody you don't like.

For older USA built engines I have taken to shopping Ebay for NOS A-C plugs and they are doing very well, just as they did years ago. Newer stuff is getting Champions, not the gold plated ones but plain old Champions and NGK.
