does anyone have a napa part number for the belt running from the engine to the mower deck on a cub cadet 1000?

After you figure out what size you need I wouldn't go to NAPA for that belt unless they are selling you a Stens brand. I've tried using off the shelf "mower" belts on the mule drive and they last less than 8 hours - some less than hour. Cub Cadet/IH sourced belts or Stens are the only ones that will give you any kind of life. You can get away with generic brands on the deck itself, but the mule drive belt is a special animal.

It's a 38" deck bit I thought the belt going from the
engine to the deck would all be the same?

I would get the cub cadet belt. They seem to have a deeper V and will stay on the pulleys better. I never tried a STENS
