Hi, I have an antique garden tractor for sale that I am looking for some information on. the previous owner of the garden tractor said it was a David Bradley but other people who saw the garden tractor said it was not a David Bradley. When I scratched away some dirt and rust of off it some blue paint appeared witch I think was this tractors original color. I am selling this garden tractor because I need more space and to help me finance my other projects. the picture of this garden tractor is on Help identify and it says ?????( David Bradley)?????? I have three photos of the garden tractor. if anyone has an idea off what this garden tractor might be let me know. thank you.

Some better close up pictures would be good.
I would almost bet the farm it ain't a David Bradley, could be a Handiman, they were sold by Sears.

Thats a "HandimaN Jr. It is a "pre-war" model built just before or at the start of the U.S. involvement in World War II. They take a special Briggs and Stratten engine that is hard to find and sells for much more than the rest of the tractor. Other Briggs engines will work if you just want a tractor to play with. There is also supposed to be a hood on there that will be nearly imposible to find if you are looking to restore the machine correctly. The hoods were a real pain and in the way on those models so most hoods were removed and discarded.
HandimaN was the predecessor to the David Bradley's.

Here's one of your picture's. Hal

Thank you for the information. Its a handiman lawn tractor. I had the engine for it but it had a lot of parts missing from the engine but I think my uncle still has it I will have to see if I can get it back from him. even though the hood is going to be really hard to find is there a place I could possibly find a hood for it?? I also have a cultivator, plow, snow plow, mower deck and a sickle bar mower for it. Was this garden tractors original color blue??

I had a Viking and 4 or 5 Standard Twins that I liked. I paid $15.00 for the Viking in 1960 that included the moldboard plow, disk and cultivator. I kept the plow when I sold the Viking and use it on my Wards garden tractor using the sleeve hitch. Hal
