Only number I can find is on hood 518-H. Is there a serial tag someplace? Cannot find one. 18 horse Onan hydrostatic with 48" deck supposed to be about 12 years old.
 
I've got a 1988 518H, don't think they were made over a couple years. Pushing 1600 hours and it's been a good one.

Tag is under left frt. of seat on fender, it's a decal. If yours is gone, I can give you my number and you can find everything about it on the Toro website.
 
That is my model. Just found what is left of the tag 31180E (8 or 0 ?)(2 ?) then a blank space and 20043. Next line cannot tell for sure if anything was ever on it, looks like a verry faint 4 for last digit. I thought it was older than was told but fit the bill. But I think the center blade spindal stuck on me. Both outside spindals have grease fittings in them, center one does not, just a hole where one should be. How do you get the deck off? Do you have any manuals you could copy a page out of for me while I hunt for some, possibly at a show this weekend. Thanks.
 
I have a Wheel Horse advertisement for that hitch system, 6 steps to install mower in 65 seconds, comes off in about half that time.
Turn the black front pully box knob clockwise to loosen belt. Lower deck, remove belt from center pully, raise deck, on left side belly hitch push pin and pull cam lever forward, lower deck, on right side above the broken grease zerk should be a hairpin and washer on the lift linkage, remove it and pull the deck out. Nobody ever puts that pin and washer on and that's way your zerk is busted. The frt pully box comes off by pushing the pin and pull cam lever. No tools needed
