Power king sticky clutch

It's a '57. Got it running but the clutch is sticking. Do you have an EZ fix or clutch pedal adjustment?
Thanks, Kirk

The way I adjust the clutch on my PKs is in the slot in bellhousing I loosen the set screws that hold the pully to shaft and pry it either forward or backward to get aboot one inch free play in clutch pedal.
If the clutch is sticking you could slide the pully forward enough to get clearance from clutch disc and try to put some emery cloth in and shine up the disc.
They way I get a sticking clutch released, put trans. in high gear and while driving hold clutch petal down and ride the brakes. It shud pop loose.

Still sticking a bit. I put the moldboard on and did some plowing

Ah ha bad deal Kirk before you know it your going like the PK so much you won't part with it.
Maybe the clutch will loosen up with more use, looks good even if it is the wrong color, looks like the plowing is go good.

Become acquainted with a man that raised a lot of garden produce, at the time over 25 years ago, he had some PKs, Cub Farmalls, L John Deere and some G Allis Chalmers. They were all modified to suit his needs.
He wuz an old man at the time, wondered whatever happened to his tractors.

There is no adjustment for a clutch on an Economy tractor. I wouldn't advise moving that flywheel. There is (or should be) a spring clip on the shaft that the flywheel that positions the flywheel where it needs to be. Most are hard enough to get off, I can't imagine trying to adjust it that way. I'm not saying it can't be done, I just think it will eventually move to the old location and it probably won't take all that long. With use, that clutch should become better but an Economy clutch is, by general rule, always a little touchy.
