Kohler gas in the oil

Hi. I have 2 Simplicity tractors with gas in the oil. One is the KT 17 and the other is 12 hp kohler. Both run very well but after 20 to 30 minutes of operation the they both spit oil out the breathers. Stop and look and both crank cases are overfull. Any ideas? Thanks Jeff

As has been said fuel pump is probably the problem due to amount of gas in crankcase after 20-30 min,if the 12hp is a K series eng it's probably the same pump as the kt17,the fix is replace fuel pumps with newer plastic throwaway pumps for kohler eng as rebuild kits for old style metal pumps probably nla,if replaceing pumps doesn't cure problem then clean/rebuild carb's or replace with a new oem/aftermarket carb.

The fuel pump is new on the kt 17. I went thru the carb on the kt17 with a new float needle and seat and float bowl. Where is the best place to get a new carb? I will also replace the fuel pump again because the new one was plastic. Probably junk already. Thanks jeff

When you did the carb work did you check float for leaks & check/ set float level and float drop?

When new pump was installed is arm of pump against face of cam lobe closest to pump & not on rear side of cam/cam lobe?Installing pump with arm on rear side of cam which is easy to do(been there/done it)can damage pump.

For another carb check on ebay & also try link below.
