Cub Cadet 2166 dies when foot comes off brake

Howdy,

I have a Cub Cadet 2166 and it's always run great. This spring I got it out to get ready to mow. It started but when I take my foot off the brake, the engine dies. I noticed under the seat two bare wires and I assume there was a pressure switch at one time. Could this be the problem?

Hi why worry, I think the switch under the seat is
your problem. I think it also is linked up with the
blade clutch for safety. Hook the wires together
for a moment and see but I wouldn, t run it without
replacing the switch. Ed will
