Out for a bath, some polish, new oil and a going over. The one in front is a 68 Raider I made out of the best of two junkers 30 years ago, 14 hsp. Kohler must have a million hours. Frt. one is a 518 with 1553 hours, mows 1 3/4 acre a week, Onan just keeps going and hope it continues.
Two more Wheel Horses and a John Deere in the shed, don't feel like giving them the treatment right now.

How does the tiller work without rear wheel wts?

Considering buying a 36" tiller on craigslist to replace tow behind I'm now useing, several manuals I've read online recommend rear wheel wts & possibly front wheel wts or frame wt,just wondering if tiller will work reasonably well without wts or will I be making a wt set for tractor in future.

Had Cub Cadet rear weights on the inside of the wheels for years, a buddy offered me 100 bucks for them and they now belong to him, I don't see any difference tiller wise. Some kind of front weight would be a definite plus. That tiller sure does a nice job, I x the garden twice and then once the direction I plant, leaves it smooth as a table top.

Thanks for the reply, has given me some food for thought.

Somebody beat me to tiller on craigslist, have to wait for another to list at reasonable cost.

Very nice looking couple WH there! ;)

Dont need to add weight to use a tiller, it isnt like pulling a plough or cultivator, the tiller does the work not the tractor.
