I just acquired a Wheel Horse 8 Horsepowe about 45 years old in very good condition. Runs very good. It has an 8 hp Kohler. Can someone tell me where the oil drain is? Aso, There is a dipstick near the fuel fill. What does that cover? How much oil should I put in the engine.??? Thanks, Henry

Henry,
Bob has given you some good links that should answer your questions about the engine. Below is another link that you may find handy. Red Square is the leading forum on Wheel Horse products.

You sure went all out on your info., where's the fuel fill?, under the hood, on top of hood or under the seat.

That dipstick is for the transmission.

Usually the engine oil drain is on the side of the oil pan on Wheel Horse tractors. look at front and back or on the side below the blade clutch.

The amount of engine oil depends on which oil sump your engine uses. It is probably a quart or a little more. 30wt. HD would be fine. That is what it was 'born' with. If you Have to go multi-viscosity, 10w40 or 15w40.
