I am wanting to change the hydraulic fluid on a Cub Cadet 1282. What fluid do I use and what size filter? Also any tidbits that I should know before I start? Thanks Tim

tpoh:

(A) You will need a two gallon waste oil container
(B) The rear transmission cover needs to come off.
(C) Once the oil it drained, clean the entire rear end with your favorite solvent, and blow out real good.
(D) Buy a new rear cover gasket, Hydro Filter, and Transmission Fluid.

Gasket:
[b:827f9c731a]IH-350837-R3[/b:827f9c731a] (for Tractor s/n: <719,999)
[b:827f9c731a]921-3015[/b:827f9c731a] (for Tractor s/n: 720,000>)

Recommended Fluid.... [b:827f9c731a]Fluid[/b:827f9c731a]

Recommended Filter.... [b:827f9c731a]Filters[/b:827f9c731a]

Install new rear cover gasket and hydro filter. Fill with Hydraulic fluid, about 14 pints.

Pull the spark plug wire off and let engine turn over for about 30 seconds (prime the charge pump).

Reinstall plug wire and enjoy.
