What is this?

At an auction this past Saturday and this was in the line. It had "rare Gravely" written in yellow china marker on the seat. I have never seen one of these so what do you think? This poor thing was so bad I couldn't even think of where to begin! It had drive chains all over the place!

Looks kinda like a power unit for an old reel mower that they used to cut grass with around the school yard.

That might be it but I don't know how they got that this is an old Gravely. This thing is rear steering AND rear drive! And I said it had drive chains all over the place. Darn old Briggs engine too.

It looks like an early Yazoo. They were built in Yazoo City Mississippi.
