Last Summer the drive belt on our Toro rotary mower failed. The instructions said to use a box end wrench to remove the hex nut from the split pulley. That was a very slow process since you had to remove the wrench each time and reinstall the wrench. Then I thought of a set of Stanley wrenches I bought from Ollie's Bargain Center that have an open end and a ratchet on the other end. Made the job a lot easier. Here's a picture of one of the wrenches it may have been the wrench I used. Hal

Hal I have a set of standard & metric combo wrenches by Gear Wrench , I have used both &I am very Happy with them .
Just wished that I would have had them in the 50 s .

Those are the bee's knees. The neighbor has a set that are straight and you flip them over to switch between tighten and loosen. Your knuckles are always too close to the part without that bend and end up skinned. Mine are all angles like a box end should be and have a lever to switch them over. Much better design. Mine also have a collar at the top to keep the wrench from slipping down the bolt onto the threaded part.
 
Yes they are way cool but just don't get the ratchet part full of CRAP! You can't take them apart to clean and washing them out is tricky plus re lube them.
