I have an early 2000's Scotts S1742, which was marketed as "Scott's by John Deere"....Ok whatever....
Anyway, last summer the clutch started acting funny: No way to ease the clutch out and start off easy - It jumps like you just took your foot off suddenly! Have to start off with low RPM's or it will jerk front wheels off the ground (literally)!
After removing the deck, the pulley on top of the transaxle (turned buy the drive belt) seems loose. Very hard to get to and see clearly tho.
Any ideas before I try to remove the transaxle and see what's going on?
All help greatly appreciated!
