You can polish those items using a buffing wheel and various grits of polishing compound to remove the outer faded layer and expose what lies beneath.

Congratulations on your refurbishment project.

Easy as pie. Go to the hardware store. Take a knob off and fit a bolt to it. Stick the bolt in your pocket. Most I have were 3/8 Coarse and SAE types. Sears hardware has the pull out drawers with several sizes and threads. They are like $5.oo ea. Replaced the knobs on several tractors. Good luck! Jeffcat

What Tom said! But, I start with sandpaper, 120-150 to begin working up to 600 or so before starting to really polish. Grits are available 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 if you want to get really detailed. Finish with a buffing wheel and compound when you are satisfied with the look.
