Is there a certain region of the country that you're gleaning from? Might help to post this to prevent getting offers from locations that aren't practical for you.

I have a non-running Plow-Trac with the Wisconson engine in the corner of one of my sheds I'd like to get rid of if central Kansas is in your radius of operation.

Since you brought up the topic on this cold winter day I'm posting this picture of mine I like playing with, not for sale though. Got a smaller one too. While driving down a country road I saw this one, stopped and asked if it was for sale, got it for $125, got my money's worth! Good luck on your search..

Where did you find info indicating that Waterbury made those early Ward's tractors? I know that Simplicity supplied Montgomery Wards with tractors starting in 1937 and did so through the 1950s. The Wards tractors I see for sale during and shortly after WWII don't look like Waterburys to me. The 1945 Simplicity Model B looks very similar to what Wards had in their Catalog.

I've got many Hoe-Tracs, Plow-Tracs plus a few Waterburys. No Waterburys that came from Monkey Wards though.

The w56 models were made by the Waterbury tool division in waterbury ct they have a data plate on the side of the gear stamped on the side of the gear box. W56 they had only made this model 1 year. which was 1948 with the wisconsin ab 3/hp on it with the variable speed pulley which you could flip either way. To change the speeds I had a couple of these some years a go and yes they were made by the Waterbury tool division. That is what the w .stands for they were sold through the Montgomery wards 1948 farm .catolog simplicity done the same thing. they put sim on the tractors .to tell who the manufacture was midland done same thing for Montgomery wards.

I have 2 of the 1948 Waterbury Plow Tracs, but I'm looking to get them running also. Big things with the knobby tires. I picked the first one up probably 20 years ago at a farm auction for $40 I think. I got a plow, disc, snow blade, wheel weights, mower, sickle bar mower, and a harrow with it. I "rediscovered" it in the back of my barn about 2 years ago and have been looking ever since for others, and parts, and implements to actually "utilize" it on my 23 acres. So I'd be interested in that one in mid kansas, especially if you might have implements with it too....
