Here's one of the Standard Twin's I restored. Also a picture of the Viking G I bought in 1960. It was built in 1936 and had always been sheltered. Hal

I bought parts from Ottertail MN, but they're getting very scarce. You can call this number in MN to see to see any parts are available. Hal
PS: Known as the American Farm Machinery.

Not sure if you mean me, or not. LJD was my
father's initials and I've used that username, now
and then.
I've got a bunch of Standard Twins and implements
and all will be gone by May 1. Either sold or
scrapped. Also many implements, several Standard
Monarchs, and one Walsh. All at my place in
central New York and I'm in northern Michigan at
present. I've got a guy from Indiana who says he
wants to buy all the Twins but so far - nobody has
paid me a penny. So all is up for grabs. Direct
email for me is: [email protected]
I also started putting up some of the original
Standard manuals for sale on Ebay. My oldest seems
to be from 1926.

You should buy that Viking Twin, I never ran across one here in ne MD. There may not been many built do to the WW2 war effort needing metal.

I don't have any Standard Twins that I've tried to
get running. Several have engines with good
compression and it's likely it wouldn't take much
to get one running. Some are steel wheeled, and
some with rubber tires. I have both versions of
the steel wheels too - with cleats or spikes. The
Viking Twin I DID have running a few years ago. I
cleaned up the carb, filed the points and it ran
fine. I took it to a couple of shows and then put
it away in a barn. This is the later Viking Twin
with is basically a Standard Twin with sheet-metal
on it made by Viking. I have several Standard Twin
sulkies and ride-on wagons. I don't have any
photos handy for the Viking. Here's a few of the
Standards.
