I just restored a 165 LGT from the early 80s. It all works great but i don't have all the stuff to run the tiller. the box (pto) that was on there is gone. I'm looking to buy what it takes to get it put back together.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I think it uses the same system as the earlier open sided LGTs. Alot of it can be fabricated if you have access to some basic metal working equipment. Or you can look for cheap parts tractors, size of the tractor doesnt matter, any LGT(except 195) will work.

Ive had them in the past but those parts sell fast even if they need to be shipped long distances.

Good to know. I don't know much about it, but I do know some people. What should I ask them to look for and make?

Thanks for that info. Do you know any sizes of the materials I would need to work with? I will just let the welder read your specks and let him figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.

Well first we would have to determine if the 80s models are in fact identical to my 70s models, i have 3 lgts but they are all 70s, two have full rear pto so I can supply lots of pics and specs if they are the same.

I would suggest you goto external_link.com to start with, theres more Ford fans over there and we have discussed the rear pto in the past, and theres guys there with the same tractor so that would make things alot easier also.

Lance isn't quite correct.
There was one version for the earlier open sided tractors.
And, another version for the closed side tractors.
These Ford tractors were made by Jacobsen.
I don't know of a source for drawings.
