Value of old Gravely walk-behinds

A friend of mine recently bought part of the estate of one of our club members who passed away and with it were these three Gravely walk-behinds. My friend specializes more in the big, 100-year old stuff like Rumley, Reeves, and Aultman-Taylor so this little stuff is a bit out of his element and he has no idea what they're worth. The most complete tractor with the rotary plow attached is an L, the one with the mower is an LI, and the partial chassis is an L8. The L has at least some compression but I didn't check the others; it is obvious none of them have run for quite some time. None have governors. The implements looked to be in reasonable shape and would probably be functional without too much work.

My friend would like to sell all three tractors and implements as one lot. Would folks have any ideas of what a fair price might be? They are located in central Kansas if that plays into the value.

Thanks in advance.

In my area a decent, running L model with one attachment will start around $200.00. I wouldn't go over $450-500.00 for the whole shebang that he has there and that's if at least one was running.

I gave $300 for an L with mower, tiller (cultivator), and breaking plow last summer. Machine was a "running when parked" and needed little to go. Has a governor, hitch frame for a sulky, rope start only. The wheels were rotted out but the tires were usable. It was in good shape overall and parked under cover.

Can you tell us where these are located? i'm in the sw corner of kansas and have been looking for something like this.

I sold one a year or 2 ago and got $150 out of it. It did not run due to a bad mag but the guy knew it was bad and took it any how

They are in Goessel which is about 40 miles north of Wichita.

Thanks to all for the information. I will pass this thread link on to my friend who is selling them.

You will get a lot more if you part them out but is very labor intensive - to sell the entire lot - does that include the Hit & Miss engines in the back of the pic ?? Been lookin for a hit /miss engine - you might be able to get 400-500 for the lot w attachments -
Again depending on condition and if engines turn free -
Please- Let me know about hit miss engines if they are for sale
Thanks Bill
