Economy (Jim Dandy) tractor purchased today

To MNGB and anyone who wants to comment . I bought the Economy tractor that I talked about earlier this week that had two serial numbers, one on the grill and one on the dash. The hood says Economy all gear drive on the side and Jim Dandy on the top of the hood down the middle. Tractor runs and drives good and I got the extra transmission. It does have a K321 kohler engine ser # 60364s. Everything looks original but I guess it's not with diff. Serials. Not sure what I got. Lol. Help!

Hi Golfcartman, congrats on your new to you PK yes it would be a Jim Dandy glad to hear it runs and drive nice and that you got the aux transmission> I checked the engine SN and as far as I can tell it would be a 1974 model yr which I'm guessing would make the tractor a 1975 model yr. per the grill SN. Just a thought maybe the tractor was originally purchased with out hyd and later hyd were added and they used the dash from a donor tractor that had the hyd parts needed? Anyway have fun restoring the JD and keep us up to date.

Thanks GB and Henry, I got it torn down to the transmission
and rear end. Found the transmission housing was busted
where the drive line housing from the rear bolts up to the trans.
Guess I will have to use my extra trans. to fix that problem.
How close is the PK paint color to the Allis Chalmers. Got lots
of Allis C. paint. I assume (I know what that means lol) that the
transmissions are the same. It looks the same. All the
hydrolics work and looks like ie is factory, may replace some
hoses. I think it is a 1975 model as well. thanks again guys. I'll

Hi ouch that's a nasty break maybe a welding shop could weld it for you. I think that Ailis orange is fairly close seems to me I read that on one of the sites, I did a little touch up with some Kabota orange but it was not real close to right. Yes as far as I know both trans are the same so you can use it up front only difference I know of is the shift lever is bent differently.
I found on another site that several claimed that Rust-Oleum 250704 GLS Lobster Red is a near perfect match. But I'm thinking very few would noticed a freshly paint PK with Ailis orange

I can swap the top of trans. from the busted one to the good
one and have the correct shifter.
