Parts for a Cub Cadet

Where can I find used parts for the old Cub Cadets from 1960 to 1970? Are there any salvage yards? I am in desperate need of a heat shield that sets on top of the head and below the gas tank. I am specifically looking for one for model 100.
 
I have had good success with used parts on Ebay. If you don't see what you need, wait a few days, it usually shows up.

You can also ask this question on IHcubcadet.com. There is also some links there to people who handle used parts.
 
Since we lost our local lawnmower salvage yard five years ago, I go to ebay. If no luck, start looking on Google with different word combinations.

You can still get the heat shield from Kohler. There is a guy in PA just north of Ephrita, He does advertise on Ebay if I remember. He has two barns full of stuff!
 
Iv'e had good luck on E-Bay, one particular vendor was Joe's Outdoor Power in Michigan. Cub Cadets are about the easiest to get parts for as they made the same basic tractor for a while. I've been keeping two going on and off for the last 18 years. I have a 102 and a 120 (yes I know they didn't make a 120 but how else do you explain a 70 with a K301 in it?) Slowed down on the Cubs when I bought a Wheel Horse with a cab and two stage snowblower but the blower is a PIA to take on and off so now I use the Wheel Horse in snow and the Cubs in the grass.
