Is there an electronic replacment made for the original magneto coil and if so has anyone had experience in running one of these engines modified that way. Thank you.

These have been around for a long time, didn't used to be this expensive though! Might find one elsewhere for less.

If your coil is bad, and you can find a new coil, this combo should work to eliminate the points.
