John Deere 455

I purchased my first John Deere at auction yesterday.. a garden tractor 455. Seems to be a pretty sound small garden tractor. What are the availability of used impliments/accessories for this model? I would like to add the rear PTO and 3 point. Thanks for you help.

Hi Pete, I'm not a regular contributor on here but I read quite often and your inquiry struck a chord with me. I, too just got a 455 and have been purtying it up and fixing what needed fixed and have a little way to go.
I've been looking for quite a while for one and finally found this one, but wasn't near as nice as your's but I think it was quite reasonable in price.
The 455's are highly regarded as a good unit and I see yours is also an aws, which is pretty nice in yards with a lot of trees and other things to go around. It also shows in the price they bring for being almost 20 years old.
As for the attachments and three point, I see them on flea bay and Craigs list now and then but I've NEVER seen anything cheap.
For a list of things to go on them go to Tractordata web sight and it shows all (?) of the immplements that goes on it. The loader will only go on a standard steering unit.
I thought there was a tiller for it, too, but it seems to me that you have to get a rear pto clutch for that. Don't quote me on that one.
Anyway, the one you got looks like a dandy. Hope you enjoy it as much as I go.

Great tractor,just watch what you buy for the All Wheel Steer, some attachments will not work.
