ford yt16 drive belt dimensions

I finally got my 94 YT16 running like a top. Now I just need a drive belt. (PTO electric clutch to mower deck). The deck is a 9809210, 42". Can anyone tell me the dimensions please? Stupid as it sounds it's like some national secret trying to find the belt size. Since dealers work off only part numbers nobody can give me the size. And... yes I have a New Holland dealer nearby. The last parts I bought from them were three blades for this mower and they stuck me to the tune of $175. I do NOT want to by a belt from them. Just as soon go to my local hardware store and support local small business. Thank you in advance

Find the old guy at your local friendly NAPA store. The guy wearing bib overals & flannel shirt. They should have a book under the counter, with pictures. Main section lists rider with mower, a seperate section shows attachments such as tiller & snow blower.
Some people have doubts about the quality of NAPA belts, but I haven't had any problems with them.

Deck belt 235000 = Gates 6950

Transmission belt 216594 = Gates 6378

I would have to look it up but reading your post and seeing YT16 and the part number you gave for a 42" deck sounded exactly like an Ariens I had. You might want to cross check some numbers on that and see if Ariens stuff works on it.
If it is a hydro rear drive check all of the mounting bolts on the rear end regularly and use locktight. They tend to get loose and then stress crack the rear diff. Still works but will leak fluid. I couldn't find a replacement rear end anywhere.
Good luck. Keep digging. NAPA (as stated by others) or some small local shop may be a big help.
