Kohler OHV Starting Problem

The lawn tractor will not start: new air filter, new gas line filter, new spark plug...

Remove the spark plug--inject fresh gas in the cylinder--put the plug back and it runs until the gas is gone and quickly stops? Posible problems or next to try????

Have you checked the gas flow from your tank to
your carburetor? Should see a full stream of gas at the carburetor. Use a clean container to catch the gas. Is there a fuel pump being used on that engine? Hal

Be sure there is fuel getting to the carb.

Then drop the bowl, see if the needle valve is stuck, float gummed up, trash in bowl, clogged main jet... Especially if it's been sitting for a while.

Clean everything up with spray carb cleaner.

my kohler has a fuel pump, mechanical one. mine wasnt pumping so i took it off an took it apart an found one of the one-way valves had fallen out of place, pushed the valve back in, put it together and installed pump an bingoooooo motor fired right up.

My ch 20 kohler has a solenoid that shuts off the main jet. The solenoid may be bad or not getting power. The fuel pump is vacuum operated. Like thers said, it could be bad too. Remove the fuel line at carb, crank engine over, you sould get gas coming out. It would be cheaper if you had a fuel pump issue..
