5 bar lawn rake

Just wondering if anyone has heard of a 5 bar rake that mounts
on the front of a wide frame cub cadet? I found one that the guy
wants me to make an offer on. Did cub make these or any after
market companies? I have never seen one but it is really neat. It
runs off the PTO like a snowblower would mount and run. The
rake part is green and it has the cub white mounts. What wouild
be a fair price for both of us? Any info is apperciated ! Thanks in
advance, Mike.
 
Sounds similar to the York Whirly Rake that I have for the Bolens tube frames.

It only has 3 bars though

It is similar to yours. The one I'm looking at doesn't have any
type of sheet metal around it though. What do you think that are
worth?
 
That's neat and never saw those before. Only downside I see is having to take off the mower deck and attach it. Would be easier if it could be a ground driven pull behind- or maybe a small separate engine.

I have 8 Bolens tube frame tractors, so it wouldn't really be a problem to dedicate one to the rake.

But, with the Bolens tractors it isn't necessary to take the deck off to run it but it would be kinda useless to do that with a rake since when you are mowing, all the rake would be raking is the uncut grass.

However, I also have a front mounted dethatcher, and using it while mowing is productive. Especially since I have an EZ Vac system on the rear as well.

Have you seen the ESTATE RAKE? It's a pull behind wheel rake, like a scaled down hay rake. 6 wheels. Works fairly well for lawn work. Now, who has a mini baler?
