bought a case farm tractor and beside it on a trailer he had a case garden tractor that said 430 on the hood..is this correct...what kind of motor ?..it has tire chains.. a tiller.. front blade..mower deck and a garden trailer that still has case on it ..not running what would be a descent price for this ? thanks

No such animal as a Case 430 garden tractor. 442, 444, 446 and 448 ...YES but not 430.

A non-running Case GT is called a "parts tractor" and is worth $200.00. Without photos, I cannot comment on the values of the implements. Case used Kohler and Onan engines.

yes they did make a farm tractor with that number that's why I thought this was unusual..perhaps someone put a farm tractor decal on it..it has been repainted at one time so don't know..it looks to be a 2 cyl which I think would be the onan..has the big tires on it and a 2spd rearend but that's all I could see with the time I had..

Production of the Case 446 garden tractor began in 1972 and ended as of the 1988 model year. The 446 came with 16 inch rims on the rear, a two-speed trans-axle and a 16 HP Onan engine.

The Case 448 is essentially identical but it came with an 18 HP Onan engine and did not begin production until 1980 and also ended as of 1988.

A utility blade in decent shape for snow/dirt work is worth on average, $200.00. A hydraulic tiller in decent shape is worth $400. But in order to run that tiller, the tractor must be equipped with a hydraulic rear PTO kit and that is worth $200.

At minimum, it must also have a sleeve hitch to mount the tiller and that is worth another $200. But if it has a three point hitch, then add $400 to the tractor value, plus another $150.00 for the Sleeve Hitch adapter that is needed to mount the tiller to the three point.

Four link tire chains - add in $40.00 but two link chains are worth $80

If the tractor is complete and the engine is OK but in need of some minor repairs, then I would value it at $400. Obviously, condition is of vital importance here. You must be cautious because if the Onan has a broken rod or is in urgent need of a rebuild due to high hours, then you could spend as much as $1800 for a shop to revive that engine. Onans are a premium quality engine and their parts are priced accordingly. Did he offer to sell you the package and if so, for what price?

yes he said he would take $850 for everything..i will look at it closer tonight as im going out to pick up the stuff I bought..don't forget it has an original two wheel garden cart that says case on the side of it thanks again

$850 for that package is nothing short of a steal. As far the cart, the Case 1000 LB dump cart will bring $350 for one in really nice shape.

My advice is simple . Do not pass this up for any reason.
