Ford LGT 120

I have a Ford LGT 120 that I would like to sell. I would like to know the exact model year and how much they typically sell for. I have the original owner's manual, and somebody wrote "1969 or 1970" on the front of it. I called my local New Holland shop to get the model year, but they told me the serial number came up invalid in their computer. They wanted the "unit number", but I could not find this number on the mower. I would like to know if the mower actually has a unit number or if there is a better way of looking up the model year by the serial number.

That mower was built by Jacobsen, they made them fur MM, Ford, and some had their names on them.
I have a Ford 100 that is in aboot the same shape.
I'm asking $250.00 fur it.

The engine # will allow you to date it with this pdf

If it runs, mows, and everything is working.... $300-$400 'asking' price is reasonable.

Actually, that"s a Ford 120.
The LGT-120 is the later model with a tube frame.
Both are made by Jacobsen and both are very well built.
The 100 series were built from 1965-1971. In "69-"71 there was even a 140 (14 HP) model made.
Yours has the 42" aluminum deck which is a real step up from the 38" square steel deck.
What numbers do you have?
I have a model number index that shows the years by Product numbers and Serial numbers.
I might be able to identify the year for you.
I have two of the Ford 100 models with the gear drive and I have a 120 with hydro.
I also have a sicklebar mower attachment that fits these tractors that I would like to sell.
You would probably be lucky to get a couple of hundred for it and then only from someone who collects them. Yours looks like it would be a fairly easy restoration.

Harvey2,

I wish you could buy it also; I think you would be happy with it.
I have never used the mower because I have a sickle bar mower that fits my LGT-120 tractor.
I have never seen another one like the one for the 100 series tractor.
It is made by Didier (a well known name in hydraulics) and is powered by a hydraulic pump/motor set up.
Looks like it would work well.
The sickle bar for my LGT-120 is belt driven and works very well.
I have a good running "100" which I haven"t used in years. If I went to the trouble of mounting the mower on it, it would probably sell nicely as a "package deal".

I live in Southwest Florida. My brother just got back from Tennessee. Otherwise, I would have him haul the mower up there for you.

Thanks for all the help. This mower does run good. When I bought it a few years ago I used it to cut my grass. It's been sitting for a couple years now. One of the front tires has a slow leak, and the mower needs a battery. I got it going last week, and it still cuts some grass.
