I have a Shaw R8 tractor with a Borg Warner T96 transmission. I can get two forward gears but no reverse or the other forward gear. The shift lever doesn't want to move into those spots.
I've never taken the cover off of a transmission so I'm not sure what to expect.
I'm guessing one of the rails is stuck???????
Can I just remove the cover with the shift lever and check things out or is there some magic to doing this?
Any advice would be great.
