cub cadet won't start

ok i got the generator 2 turn over but won't start and the selinoid just click's when u turn the key. cleaned all cable connections of rust and replaced the battery cables and replaced the ground cable on the frame i'm stumped.any other suggestions would be great.

o k, you got an older cadet. an International cadet. starter generator.

so your motor is turning now and still will not start. have you cleaned the points?

which number of cadet do you have? i suspect that it is a kohler engine.

what number is the mower?

If you got s/g to turn eng over by going directly from battery to A terminal on s/g,connect a voltmeter/12v test light to A terminal on s/g or terminal on sol that s/g cable connects to,turn ign sw to start,if sol clicks but you get no voltage reading/light then contacts in sol bad & sol must be replaced.
