Paul Jackson Lawnmowers ~ Seneca, NY

Sorry to hear of his passing. Here's a few pics from 2004, including the only Rugg I found at Paul's.

It is always sad to hear of someone such as that passing or just going out of business. Obviously he had been there for some time. I talked to one dealer about four years ago who was just "cleaning up" his place, hauling several truck loads to the recycler, but he didn't have as much as the one you show.

Most all of the stuff in your pictures went to the crusher! If you google the store and look at the aerial shot you can see just how big this place was. They are trying to close up by the end of August. So sad. I don't think it was that no one wanted to take over...it is just everyone there is old. I am 64 and all of them are a LOT older than me.

Paul told me this started out as a "Hobby" after retirement, that was 18 years ago.

From what I heard no one wanted to take over and any of the kids were not interested.

I strongly suggest anyone who has not been here go there now!
There was also another room filled with engines piled to the ceiling!

Too bad. Seems like the grandaddy of all lawn and garden tractor auctions would seem to have been in order to get the stuff out to folks that could make the trip. The only thing worse than this is the fellow with this much stuff that won't sell any of it! Thanks for posting all the pics.

Sometime in the past year I was there and he did seem feeble. I was told that the landlord jacked the rent up "really high" so the lady that had been there,? wife, had no choice but to get out. Everything went to Trout's recycling and got loaded out. Finis
