A little place in time is almost gone. "lawnmower Heaven" actually Paul Jackson small engine repair is closeing. Paul died a couple of months ago and his wife says she is too tired. I learned about this place last year on this sight and found it. It is up in northern NY state between Auburn and Sennica Falls. Just drive along route 20. I bought a cub cadet creeper gear last year and a Homelite "Waterbug" this year as a reminder. Payed too much but what the heck. There is still a whole bunch of stuff left but let me tell you what Ed told me. He has been a mechanic for 23 or 26 years as he mumbled along. The building and land are rented so they have started to "clean up". He told me they have taken 30 roll on dumpsters of stuff out back and have a lot more to go! The scrap yard just bailed all of it up! I took as may pictures as I could and these show how great a good old local dump of a place this was. They are looking at the end of August to be gone. The shots of the main shop will "stitch" together with a good photo program. Suzy the cat is very sweet and is spotless in a greasy work shop. The Homelite mower they did years ago and may sell for the right price. Most of the machines in the main shop were complete and ready to mow. Lots of heavy machines. Very few people know what is going on cause they are just going to pull the plug and that is that.
Get there if you can cause they will be gone very soon!!!! It was raining and the roof leaks and I felt very sad. Summer vacation will not be the same if I ever drive over that way again. Jeffcat I needed to split the post for the pictures.

What A shame!
I heard of Pauls passing a few months back, I have been going here for years!
I used to go once a year just to talk to Paul and his wife, Great people and you just dont see mom and pop shops like this anymore, I was lucky enough to get all the Bolens stuff I wanted in the past years but there is still a ton of stuff left there for all makes and models.

Paul will be missed, the Lawn and Garden community lost a good man !!!

The saddest part, (other than losing Paul) is losing all those mower parts! There is thousands of good parts there worth thousands of dollars. And there collectors allover that would almost kill to get their hands on that stuff! Obviously time is an important factor here, but is is still a sad sight.
