my case 190

Butch,
In the overall scheme of things, there were not that many 190's sold. Case began offering re-badged Colt tractors in 1965. Your 190 was made only in 1966 and a large number of them are now in the hands of collectors or have been parted out or scrapped.

As I said before, you may have to find a 150, which were sold in much larger numbers. The 150 and 190 use the exact same trans-axle but the drive motor and axle shafts are different. The 150 models have 5 bolt axle shafts and the 190 uses 6 bolt.

A machine shop can chuck your axle in a lathe and cut the weld holding the flange off. Same thing with the axle from the 150. The 6 bolt flange can then be welded onto the 150 axle.

My advice for you is this. Once you have the 190 repaired, remove the loader from it completely. Either sell the 190 to a collector or keep it around as a show piece. In other words, stop using it. Instead, find yourself a nice Case 444 model that was made in 1971 to 1988 and mount the loader onto it. Those tractors are built much stronger but more importantly, parts are much easier to find.

Your 190 has had its day and it deserves permanent retirement.

thanks tom, I was going to use this machine to clean the stalls, but I will look for another unit and have a machine shop make a axle so I can put the unit up for sale.
Thanks again

I am putting together a sad story. Should get it on tonight. There is a place that had a boat load of parts but no more. Jeffcat
