Hi, I recently rebuilt the carberator on my IH cub cadet 1650. It has a k341 kohler engine on it. Since then I can not get the engine back up to the speed neede to cut the grass like it did before. I have tried adjusting the throttle cable and also the govenor screw some but still cant the engine speed needed for the blade speed I need. Thanks for your help..... Kenny

If you take ahold of the throttle rod between the governor arm and the carb and push it for more speed will it speed up?

You didn't loosen the arm going up to the carb? Gently bottom both fuel air screw and main jet. GENTLY... Now back out the fuel air one complete turn. The main fuel jet may need to be backed out 2 1/2 or 3 turns. This depends on the size of your engine AND which carb. If you have Walbro and Carter are set up different. The big Kohler book has been posted on this forum almost weekly. It is like 135 pages of a PDF file. Tells all you can need to know. Also tells how to set the govenor back up correctly.

I found my problem. I had a brain fart and had the fuel line on the wrong side of the governer rod. Put it where it belongs and she runs great!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for your ideas........Kenny
