Just picked up a 1966 model 60 riding mower for something to do this summer. Like others of this vintage its built like a tank compared to todays products.

I have a problem operating the clutch/brake pedal as my 76 yr old foot does not swivel like it used to. My question is, is there an adjustment underneath in the linkage that would change the angle of the pedal.

Is there any adjustment in the steering box, Ive got about 90 deg of play on the steering wheel. Also anything else I should be looking for.

You'll want to look the whole tractor over for worn, missing, damaged, and poorly adjusted components. Once everything is like it's supposed to be, then consider custom fitting it for your particular needs.

The steering will fall under the same category, but garden tractors are notorious for having bad steering from the factory! Every one I've ever owned, I had to beef up the steering. Just have to look it over, make a decision... "Can I find a better way to do that?" before buying the factory parts, if you can still get factory parts!
