Tracking down an oil leak, Kohler 28 EFI

I think it's coming from a single bolt, that is under the intake, right side of motor, towards the rear, screws in from bottom to top of vertical crank engine. No other bolts nearby, stands proud (downward) on about a 3/4" tall boss. Anybody got any ideas on what it is connected to. I think I will give her a twist tomorrow morning, maybe pull it out, to see if there is a seal or o-ring on it, but just wanted to know if I am going to run into anything unknown...

Dave, If that bolt with the oil on it is in the oil sump-That is the only bolt I can think of that goes from bottom to top- you either have a leaking crankcase breather gasket or a leaking seal at the sump. I say seal because some of those engines use gaskets and some use RTV.

I am thinking that bolt is in a blind hole and the oil should not be following the bolt shank unless there is a crack or pinhole in the block.
