recommendation on 8 year old toro

What do you guys think of an 8 year old Toro riding mower? Not sure of exact model. It says Wheel Horse on the side. 12 (or 12.5) HP B&S engine, 32" single blade, comes with dual rear bagger. The local lawn mower shop took it in on trade. The guy says he knows the mower well because he sold it to the guy right next door to the shop and it has very low hours. He is asking $850 firm. Is this a good mower and is that a decent price. I figure it will be a little higher buying it at a shop. He is giving a 90 day warranty.

That would be a 12-32XL if your description is right. That model was last made in 2004 according to TracrtorData.com. The reviews say it is easy to run the engine out of oil - which probably means that former owner didn't check it every time he started the engine.

I think the price ought to be about half what he's asking. It's a Wheel Horse but not a high-end model.
