Using Gm coil on mower

Hi all, I've read many articles about using a dual gm coil on kohlers and onans in place of the originals. My question is: the articles only talk about point ignitions. Mine is an onan P220 electronic ignition. Does anyone know if a Gm coil such as D555 will work with the electronic pickup ok?

SHORT version is YES.

LONG version:
The Onan ignition "pickup" is essentially a Pertronix ignition MODULE.

At some low level of coil impedance, the module"s current switching rating could be exceeded.

Since we don"t have those two numbers at hand, there is SOME risk in this.
