how do I adjust the variator onmy 212

Hi.the variator handle feels loose, like nothi is hooked to it.the tractor has hardly no foward motion.belts seem in good shape.ant info would be great. Thank you.

With the variator handle in the 5th notch, remove the plug just below the handle. Using a 3/4" socket loosen the bolt with the slot behind it and pull up on the clutch pedal while running in neutral. Then tighten the bolt. If it still doesn't work correctly, you may have a broken spring. jdparts.com will show you a parts breakdown if needed.
