Howdy all,
I have a recently acquired 1978 JD 210. It is in awesome shape! It was restored by a person who worked at a John Deere Dealer about 5 years ago. A co-worker sold it to me for $120! The tractor was sitting in a shed with four flat tires and 1 year old gas and a dead battery. My coworker moved to a new house and didn"t need it anymore and wanted it out of his shed. My coworker said the last time it ran was last summer to give kids rides at a birthday party.
I took it home and charged the battery over the weekend. Yesterday I managed to start it up. It idles good but will surge up down at the higher rpms especially under load (Mower deck engaged). Haven"t played with carb yet. Any suggestions on what could be causing this surging of rpms? As always your input is greatly appreciated.
